About this product
A smooth, creamy white chocolate bar from Milka, made with cocoa butter and milk for a gentle, sweet vanilla flavor.
Milka White Chocolate is a plain white chocolate tablet with no fillings or inclusions. In Germany and Austria it is sold as Milka Weiße Schokolade, often shortened on shelf tags to Milka Weiss.
White chocolate gets its pale color from cocoa butter instead of cocoa mass, so there is no dark cocoa in the recipe at all. Milk powder, whey and milk fat give it body, and a little flavouring adds a soft vanilla note. Milka says it uses Alpine milk across its chocolate range.
The 90g bar is made by Mondelez International, the company behind Milka. Malincho sells it in the USA as an independent retailer.
Taste and serving ideas
How it tastes
Expect a sweet, buttery flavor that reminds many people of condensed milk or vanilla cream. It melts quickly and evenly, with none of the roasted or bitter notes you find in milk or dark chocolate.
Because it is sweeter than other Milka bars, a few pieces go a long way.
Ways to enjoy it
Eat it on its own, or set out a few squares with fresh strawberries or raspberries. The tart fruit balances the sweetness well.
In the kitchen, chop it into blondies or cookies, or melt it gently over low heat to drizzle on cakes. White chocolate burns more easily than darker chocolate, so stir often and keep the heat low.
Ingredients and allergens
Sugar, cocoa butter, skimmed milk powder, sweet whey powder (from milk), milk fat, emulsifier (soy lecithins), flavouring.

Does it contain any cocoa?
It contains cocoa butter, which is the fat from the cocoa bean, but no cocoa mass. That is why it is white instead of brown.
What allergens does it contain?
It contains milk and soy, and the label warns it may contain traces of tree nuts.
How many calories are in a serving?
About 80 calories per 4-piece (15g) serving, based on the European label.
Is it gluten free?
None of the ingredients contain gluten, but it is not certified gluten free, so check the wrapper if you need to avoid gluten strictly.
How big is the bar?
It weighs 90g (about 3.2 oz), which is about six 4-piece servings.
How should I store it?
Keep it cool and dry, away from sunlight and strong smells. White chocolate picks up odors easily, so keep it wrapped.
