About this product
A solid bar of Milka Alpine milk chocolate packed with whole roasted hazelnuts, so nearly every square comes with a big, crunchy nut inside.
Milka Whole Nuts is a thick milk chocolate tablet with whole hazelnuts set into it. In Germany it is sold as Milka Ganze Haselnüsse, which means "whole hazelnuts."
Hazelnuts make up 20% of the bar by weight. They are left whole instead of chopped, which is why the bar looks bumpy on the back. There is no cream or nougat filling: just nuts and chocolate.
The chocolate is Milka's Alpine milk chocolate, made with milk from the Alpine region. The bar is made in Germany by Mondelez International, the owner of the Milka brand. Malincho sells it in the USA as an independent retailer.
Taste and serving ideas
How it tastes
The chocolate is sweet, milky and mild, with a soft melt. The hazelnuts add a toasty, slightly woody flavor and a firm crunch that contrasts with the creamy chocolate.
Because the nuts are whole, each bite is a little different. Some squares are mostly chocolate, others are mostly nut.
Ways to enjoy it
Break off a row as an afternoon snack or pack a few squares for a road trip. It goes well with a cup of coffee, black tea or a glass of milk.
Chop it roughly and fold it into brownie batter or cookie dough for chunks of chocolate and hazelnut in one go. It also makes a good addition to a dessert or cheese board.
How it differs from other Milka hazelnut bars
Milka makes several hazelnut bars. Noisette is smooth, with hazelnut paste blended into the chocolate. The regular Hazelnut bar uses small chopped pieces. Whole Nuts is the one with the largest, whole nuts and the most crunch.
Ingredients and allergens
Sugar, hazelnuts (20%), cocoa butter, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, sweet whey powder (milk), butterfat (milk), emulsifier (soy lecithin), hazelnut paste, flavouring. Cocoa solids 33% minimum.

How many calories are in a serving?
About 89 calories per 4-piece (15.8g) serving, based on the European label. The whole 95g bar has roughly 535 calories.
