About this product

Milka Alpine milk chocolate with crunchy bits of caramelized Lotus Biscoff cookie and a touch of cinnamon worked all the way through the bar.

This 90g bar brings together two European favorites: Milka's creamy Alpine milk chocolate and the spiced, caramelized cookie that Lotus sells as Biscoff. Small cookie pieces make up about 17% of the bar, so you find them in nearly every square.

In Germany it is sold under the same name, Milka Biscoff. A bigger 190g version also exists there, but this is the everyday tablet size.

It is made in Germany by Mondelez International, the company behind Milka. Malincho sells it in the USA as an independent retailer.

Taste and serving ideas

How it tastes

The first thing you notice is the soft, milky sweetness of the chocolate. Then the cookie pieces add a light crunch and a brown-sugar, caramel flavor, with cinnamon in the background.

It tastes a bit like dunking a Biscoff cookie in hot chocolate, but in a form you can snap into squares.

Ways to enjoy it

Have a couple of squares with coffee, a latte or a cup of tea. The cinnamon notes are a natural match for warm drinks.

Chop it up and sprinkle it over vanilla ice cream or yogurt, or fold it into cookie or brownie batter for little pockets of spiced crunch.

What makes it different

Most Milka bars rely on nuts, fruit or creamy fillings. This one gets its personality from a baked cookie, so the texture is crisp rather than gooey, and the spice gives it a cozy, fall-and-winter feel.

Pairing idea: serve squares next to a few Biscoff cookies and a cup of coffee for an easy dessert plate.
